Amplify Your Social Impact with the Power of Marketing

Find Best Marketing Resources, Ideas and Tips for Changemakers.

Welcome to Marketing for Good!

You are the Changemaker.

You are a social enterprise or a nonprofit or an individual who wants to make a positive impact on the world.

If you want to amplify your social impact with the power of marketing, you’re in the right place.

But you often lack enough resources and time to do effective marketing.

I faced the same challenge when I worked with nonprofits and startups.

I started this blog in March 2018 to help you drive social impact results.

In this blog I will discuss:

  • essential marketing models for social enterprise marketing and nonprofit marketing
  • free or affordable digital marketing resources
  • innovative marketing ideas and tips
  • and social marketing for influencing behaviours for good

Most people misunderstand social marketing as social media Marketing.

“Social Marketing is a process that uses marketing principles and techniques to influence target audience behaviours that will benefit society as well as the individual.” —Nancy R. Lee, Michael L. Rothschild, and Bill Smith

Why is marketing very important for Changemakers?

Many non-marketers misunderstand marketing as mere advertising or as a promotion. Marketing is a lot more than that.

Late Peter Druker, who is considered as the founder of modern management, quoted,

“Because the purpose of business is to create a customer, the business enterprise has two – and only two – basic functions: marketing and innovation. Marketing and innovation produce results; all the rest are costs. Marketing is the distinguishing, unique function of the business.”

To put it in simple words, marketing is the essential and the most important function of any business.

Also, like commercial enterprises, social enterprises and nonprofit enterprises should take advantage of technological and marketing innovations to speed up growth.
